For most of the past number of posts, we’ve been sort of riding along with an experimental “art journey”, in which a continuous series of images and commentaries has been presented, which sum up to form a long train of thought that stretches through many entries in this web log.
OK, let’s get back on the “Train of Thought”, and continue with the Art Journey that we’ve been engaged in…
Hey! What are you doing there in the dark? Are you having fun?
You better be careful there!
Oh, no!
We was cruisin’ right along, havin’ fun on the run
But then somethin’ caught our eye; made us cautious on the fly
An’ put a stop to our fun, an’ closed our shop jus’ like a cop
But soon as he wen’ away we went right back to our play-
Then we were again reminded that the time we had to mind
‘Else we’d get caught with our hands red
and face consequences dreaded
And so on and on the story went
with no respite and no relent
And our moods went up and down
to make us laugh and make us frown
Who plays this game all through the night
with no relent and no respite?
Moody Stoplight!
(And how’s your Mood Light?)
The Night Moods. (…and how’s your Mood Light?)
Ever notice how greatly your moods can be affected by the color of a light – day or night?

Time, Space, and the Fourth Dimension:
In the sequence of images above, as you view the image from left to right, it is as if you are “moving through time” in a way. Why is this? You know that the sequence of the colored lights in a stoplight is GREEN, then YELLOW, then RED, in an endlessly repeating cycle. So as your eye scans across the image, it is as if the lights are changing colors. And so “time” is being represented by “space”, as your eyes travel across the “space” of the long image.
(In his theory of Relativity, Albert Einstein claims that space and time are actually interrelated, to form that which is sometimes said to be a kind of “fabric” of space and time.)
How does it feel to experience these “Night Moods” in actual time? Click on the video animation below. (It also includes music, and music is something you experience over time, and can also influence your emotions and moods; but that’s probably something that is better to discuss in another post…)
…And now let’s hitch all this up into the “Train of Thought” that we’ve been riding on, through Space, and through Time…
