Fish Isle Dream

Fish Isle Dream

Fish Isle Dream

Levitating in my dreams
I see a mystic vision
It rises past life’s hectic scenes
and all the world’s derisions

When life becomes a rat-race
and I can’t keep up its hectic pace
I retreat within to a serene place
and then its inner peace embrace

I look out over life’s deep seas
and in perspective I then see
what my life really means to me

It escapes me to an isle in motion
traveling through an inner ocean
far from life’s most hectic scenes –
lost within my Fish Isle Dream.

PSYCHOLOGICAL NOTES: I’m sure that there are times for all of us when we feel that life is like a rat race, and we wish that we could run away from it all, at least for a while. Then we retreat into a little refuge for a time, forgetting about the day-to-day hum drum, to give our mind and soul a break from the hectic pace of life…

NOTES ON THE CREATIVE PROCESS: The image is an acrylic painting on canvas.
While I was not consciously thinking about what it was really going to mean when I was doing it, when I later reviewed it, the poem above is what came to mind.
