Day In – Day Out
For every Yin
there is a Yang
for every woman
there’s a man
And so it’s been
since time began
and thus continues
the race of man
They come together
and become one
to bear a daughter
or a son
The endless cycle
of life and death
rising and falling
as we draw breath
The days pass by
and turn to night
the darkness then
gives way to light
The sun will shine
and the rain will fall
what comes to one
will come to all
Day in day out
the world will turn
the night will fall
the day return
Our earthly sorrows
darken the night
until tomorrow
returns the light
The ebb and flow
of the restless sea –
the triumphs and the struggles
of humanity
break endlessly
on the shores of time
while never ceasing
their endless chime
The wars will rage
the peace return
with fortunes lost
and lessons learned
And through the evil
and the good
one thing remains,
it’s understood –
The world will turn
the old will die
and in their place
the young will rise
And so continues
the race of man
