Voyaging Forward Into The New Year

The Journey Begins

There’s always this little feeling of “starting over again” that I seem to get on the first day of the new year, which lasts into February, and ultimately fades into the endeavors, ambitions, and day to day dealings of “another year in the life” by March. The very first day of the year is like a kind of “new awakening”, a first sunrise. There is a kind of anticipation and looking forward to what is ahead, and a spirit of free flight towards it.

And so we begin our forward journey into the new year. What will be the joys and triumphs that the year will bring? And what will be the sorrows and disappointments? Only time will tell. But we begin our forward flight with a positive wind beneath our wings.
