Hopping On A Wave (With Horizontal Scrolling Image)

In the Previous Post , we got into some reflections and musings about life and dreams. The dreamy images and thoughts continue in this post…

Clock Hop

Clock Hop

There’s a little party going on in the cool evening air, and the spirits soar freely as the youthful revelers “hop their socks off” and dance the time away! They have forgotten all about the time, and have transported themselves into a gentler time, long ago and far away.

Yes, in our dreams and in our daydreams, we all long to escape to a fantasy place – perhaps a fantasy isle far away from the humdrum of everyday life! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to simply hop on the back of an ocean going fish and take a journey to that dreamy destination?

And so we ride our fine-finned vehicle on the crest of a wave to far away times and destinations of the heart.

(By the way, did you notice how the “ground” turns into “water” as this sequence progresses?)

And now let’s combine the images from the past couple of posts with the images in this post to get a long panoramic imageā€¦

NOTES ON THE CREATIVE PROCESS: The images which appear in the past three posts (including this one) were drawn one at a time, with each subsequent image connecting smoothly with the one before it. They were drawn by hand, and then the colors were added with computer. The commentaries were based on whatever thoughts and feelings the images happened to inspire within me when I was reviewing them.

The images and commentaries in these posts are meant to combine with each other to make a larger overall image and “train of thought”, in context. Their contexts are thus combined together, or “intercontexted”.

PSYCHOLOGICAL NOTES: I have noticed that when I am reviewing the pictures and trying to conceive of ideas for the commentaries on them, I like to have music playing, as it seems to help my mind to get into a kind of “flow”. But when I actually start writing the commentaries, then I seem to work better when the music is turned off. And so I am constantly turning the music off and on as I write and then pause to think of more ideas to put down. It may sound strange, but it seems to be an interesting kind of experience, in and of itself!
