I was actually going to publish this post earlier, but then a few literally “world-shaking” and tragic events occurred , and so I ended up taking a detour from the experimental “Art Journey” project that I had been publishing installments of.
Now it’s time to get back on the art journey road again, which in itself was heading for a kind of “stylistic detour”!
We left off the last segment of the Journey stuck at a red light…
While our frustrated driver friend impatiently waits at the red light…
We think that this would be a good opportunity to take you on a little Detour in the Journey’s road…
And cruise you past some new and unusual Styles…
So get your mind ready for some new Styles ahead – enjoy the scenery!
What lies on the road ahead? Take a sneak preview of what you’ll encounter as you continue in the Journey…
You’ll see strange images with hidden meanings, and which are meant to provoke thought…
You’ll see cutesy cartoon images with a touch of satire to them…
…And you’ll see a quick stretch of images in styles ranging from painterly to digital to illustrational, all along a common unifying theme…
I like to work in many different “styles”, and will be publishing a number of images in each of these different art styles (as well as introducing even more art styles and “looks”) in the posts that will be forthcoming, along with commentaries. Stay tuned!

But is it Art? Did you feel that maybe I was kind of “playing games” in this post with the series of images that were composed mostly of words?
Let’s see them again, this time smaller:
While there may be those who feel that words and letters may not really belong in a “picture” unless it is an advertisement, or an announcement, or something of that sort, many conceptual artists use words and letters as major components of their artwork. And the artist Robert Indiana is best known for making art out of the word “Love”.
Then there are cultures which regard Calligraphy, which is actually a form of writing, as a very high form of art.
Now, of course, I am in no way implying that the images in this post which are made up mostly out of words are a high form of art, or anything like that; but then again, What Is Art? 🙂 🙂 🙂
