Birds On Time In Space (Image)

I was looking over the image from the last post :

Matrix Pastiche

The Sum of the Matrix Elements = Matrix Pastiche

…And, based on the images contained in the above composition, I came up with the following image (I was looking at the above image on the computer screen, and drawing the new image on a piece of paper on my desk):

Birds On Time In Space

Birds On Time In Space

Now let’s view the images side by side. Which visual elements were taken from the image on the right and recontexted to make the image on the left? (Wanna See?)

Side By Side Comparison

Side By Side Comparison: Which Elements Are Recontexted?

I tend to be intrigued by the way visual elements can be recombined into different contexts (recontexted) in order to make new images. In this way, images resemble verbal language, in that the visual elements, or “icons”, can be recombined to make new images, similar to the way words can be recombined to make new sentences!
