All of mankind longs for freedom and equality.
We all dream of a world in which all are treated equally, and are accorded the same basic rights, liberties, and freedoms, impartially and without reservation. Many would even say that these are God-given rights. Nonetheless, in the real world, the tragic fact remains that even in our so-called “enlightened society”, the incidence of discrimination and denial of these rights continues to raise its ugly head . And so it is necessary to remind ourselves of the Dream that Martin Luther King, Jr. had, and to continue to pursue it…
Throughout much of history, the butterfly has been used to symbolize many things – life, metamorphosis, joy, and freedom, to name a few. Here, it is boldly depicted as a medallion symbolizing freedom, esteem, and confidence with a tender touch.
